The Foundation has been established by supporters to promote the club, to strengthen the bonds between the club and the community and to encourage the club to take proper account of the interests of its supporters and of the community it serves in its decisions. We aim to support the concept of democratic supporter involvement and representation in the club. The Foundation is also a community benefit organisation. It is here to build bridges between the community and Edinburgh Rugby and to use the power of rugby for the good of the community. We are a not-for-profit organisation and we are therefore the perfect partner between club and supporter. The Foundation needs you, the supporter, to make it a success.

Membership Drive

The Edinburgh Rugby Foundation board are looking forward to the new season, and are keen to build on the links that we have already established over the past two years.  Our key focus for the start of the season is to increase the number of Foundation members as the ERF needs you, the supporter, to make it a success. The more members we have the stronger our voice will become.  The new membership categories are £1 per person for an annual membership and £5 per person for a lifetime membership. Junior memberships are also available on application.  Junior members (who do not have voting rights) will be free of charge.

As part of our membership drive we have an Edinburgh shirt signed by Andy Robinson and 4 match worn shirts (2 home and 2 away) from last season kindly donated by the team to give away.  Any member who joins up by Noon on Saturday 20th September will be entered into the draw.  Photos of these can be seen here in the gallery.

Edinburgh Rugby Club kick off their Magners League campaign at home to Munster on Friday 5th September, kick off 7.30pm.  Board members will be available in the bar before and after this match with the shirts on display ready to sign up new members as well as the Scarlets match on 19th September, kick off 7.30pm.

Does Your Club Need Us

The Edinburgh Rugby Foundation is a non-profit making organisation for the benefit and promotion of both Edinburgh Rugby and rugby at all levels in the local community.

Since we were established in 2006, we have organised a number of successful fund-raising activities and some of this money has already been spent in accordance with our aims. For example we purchased equipment for Edinburgh Rugby’s Matchday Clinics, which are aimed at youngsters between P4 and S2 prior to Edinburgh Rugby home games. We are now looking to further increase our links to the wider rugby community within Edinburgh and the east of Scotland.

2007/08 Season

The Edinburgh Rugby Foundation would like to congratulate our team for the season 2007/08 which saw us finish in our best ever league position.

While the result of the first test against Argentina was disappointing we would also like to pass on our congratulations to new caps Ben Cairns and Matt Mustchin and also to "new boy" Chris Paterson for not only equalling the Scotland cap record but also becoming Scotland's record points scorer.

Finally the Foundation would like to thank all the players, coaches and management for their efforts and also for their support throughout the season and we look forward to building on both of these.

Roll next season!
