The Foundation has been established by supporters to promote the club, to strengthen the bonds between the club and the community and to encourage the club to take proper account of the interests of its supporters and of the community it serves in its decisions. We aim to support the concept of democratic supporter involvement and representation in the club. The Foundation is also a community benefit organisation. It is here to build bridges between the community and Edinburgh Rugby and to use the power of rugby for the good of the community. We are a not-for-profit organisation and we are therefore the perfect partner between club and supporter. The Foundation needs you, the supporter, to make it a success.

THE BOARD OF EDINBURGH RUGBY FOUNDATION regard the ongoing fiasco in the Scottish Press between Edinburgh Rugby Limited and the SRU with great dismay. We believe that many of the reported statements have not given supporters a full and detailed account of the respective positions and that this has now lead to many ill-informed opinions.
We call upon all parties concerned to bring a speedy end to the brinkmanship, for sense to prevail and for a return to good, simple, honest rugby. The success level of Edinburgh Rugby in 2004 and the fabulous potential at that time now seems a dim and distant memory. In Scottish sporting terms, this is tragic and inexcusable.
Since this deepening crisis is highly detrimental to the future of players, supporters and sponsors of Edinburgh Rugby and Scottish Rugby in general, we call on both parties in this dispute to take urgent steps to have this matter settled through Independent Arbitration.
